Incredible Detoxifier: Broccoli!
I was amazed when I recently heard that broccoli has been scientifically proven to aid cell detoxification! I’ve always recommended broccoli to my clients and cleansers because it’s nutrient packed and great tasting.Knowing that broccoli aides detoxification, as proven by science, now makes broccoli indespensible! Here are my favorite ways to eat broccoli:
- Chop a head or two of raw broccoli into small florets. Marinate in a sauce of 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar, 1/3 cup tamari sauce, 1/3 cup olive oil, chopped garlic, thyme, and sage for one day. Use on salads and in wraps. You’re taste buds will be in heaven!
- Steam one to two heads of broccoli for 5 minutes (never more) and toss with a simple dressing of olive oil and vinegar. Steaming broccoli helps the broccoli retain it’s nutrients and the simple dressing allows me to enjoy broccoli’s naturally earthy flavor. Remember to always use extra virgin olive oil as it is the best tasting and the most cleansing!
